Atmadhnyan Shighra Sadhana… 25
तद्ब्रह्मैवाहमस्मीत्यनुभव उदितो यस्य कस्यापि चेद्वै पुंसः श्रीसद्गुरूणामतुलितकरुणापूर्णपीयूषदृष्ट्या ।।
जीवन्मुक्तः स एव भ्रमविधुरमना निर्गतेनाद्युपाधौ
नित्यानंदैकधाम प्रविशति परमं नष्टसंदेहवृत्तिः ।।
“When someone attains the realization through Sadguru’s unique benevolent nectar like sight (sight through Knowledge – Dhnyan drushti), that, “I am that Brahma” then his mind becomes devoid of all the confusion. All his misconceptions, doubts, inhibitions, ambiguity gets resolved and cleared and he gets liberated. And with the dissolution of body based ego (which was continuously there without any beginning-anadi) enters the homogeneous, eternal blissful, non-dual Parmatma.” Bhagwan Shankaracharya,

How truly said by Bhagwan Acharya! Satguru doesn’t have anything to do with politicians, wealthy businessmen, artists, or rich people of the society.
He leads his remaining life, At times Serving the people who are suffering, at times serving cows and other animals. However he has a quest of only one thing.
He wants at least one person. One disciple among so many, who is capable, intelligent, and obedient from the core of his heart (ready to obey Guru, for more than his own life) like Aruni! Then the pairs like Dhoumya – Aruni, Krishna – Arjun, Ramkrishna – Narendra,
Ramdas-Kalyan get made.
It is secondary that the disciple liked by Guru is considered as enemy number one by other disciples and the other people related to Guru. This has become like a tradition.
After the death of of Sidhha Purush, Pradhnya chakshu Gulabrao Maharaj, his most liked disciple Baba Maharaj Pandit was insulted and ousted by his relatives and other disciples. Same Pandit later on wrote great classical scripture, “Gudharthadipika” which is published by Gitapress.
The foolish disciples do not know that Sidhha Guru will never wish, to have a samadhi (tomb) like Tajmahal or Ashram spanning thousands of acres.
Sidhha Guru wants only that at least one of his disciples should spread the knowledge he has bestowed up on everywhere to remove the ignorance of the people.
Guru’s duty is to make the disciple understand, “Tatvamasi” meaning, That (Brahma – Atma, Parmatma) is You! The duty of disciple is to understand through advise from Guru that “Aham Brahmasmi”, meaning, “I am Brahma”. Rest all the talk is irrelevant, it has no use for attaining Liberation, Emancipation.
If by day and night reciting the names of God or Guru Atmadhnyan could have been attained; then Bhagawan Brahmarshi Narad Muni who has taught devotion to the world would not have to surrender to Bhagwan Sanatkumar for begetting Atmadhnyan and Bhagawan Gautam Buddha who did day and night Nirakar (without any symbol, idol) Meditation or Vipashyana would have been the Supreme Atmadhnyani – Vedanti!
When my new Guru Sant Khapti Maharaj visited my home first time, I was busy in doing worship.
He asked me, “Whom are you worshipping?”
I answered politely, “Maharaj, I am worshipping Lord Ganesh.”
“Where is Ganesh?” Maharaj asked.
I got slightly perturbed with this question. I was a person doing daily worship. Mostly had read the stories relating to God. So after some thought I answered, “Maharaj, He would be in heaven.”
Next question from Maharaj did shake me to the core.
“Whether Ganesh had written a letter and sent photo from heaven that my form is like this and my name is Ganesh?”
What answer I could give? “No Maharaj, it would not be like that.” I said politely.
“There is nothing in heaven! Heaven etc. all is in your brain! All names are given by man. No name of God has come from heaven! Maharaj said.
” Yes Maharaj”. I said doubtfully.
“God is not like what you are thinking. The solutions to your problems you only will have to search. You will have to do your duty. By worshiping three hours daily God will not come running.” Maharaj said.
This was an enormous “shock” for me. I thought he may not be Guru, may be some nonbeliever. I had full faith in Lord Ganesh. It was my conviction that Lord Ganesh only is protecting me from so many difficulties.
What can be the meaning of “Lord Ganesh is not like what you are thinking” I got distressed thinking about it. Two thoughts occurred in my mind. One was not to meet this Maharaj again. And the other was, ‘No! He is an aged Guru. Definitely would be telling in my own interest!
After Maharaj left, I went to my friend Dr. Prakash Marpakwar with whom I always used to have spiritual discussions. We together made a list of 15-20 questions to ask Maharaj.
