(Rebuttal of duality)

“Vrate tape niyamachiya sakdi l Sandehi guntali bapudi l Ti kevi pavatil pailthadi l Sansarsagarachiye ll7ll”

People busy in Penance, fasting are entangled into the regulation of doing something, or not doing something. They They are ridden with doubts about Paramatma and Self. Whoever has not perceived unmanifested Paramatma, invisible Existence of Paramatma in the world, how can they swim across the waters of mayik ocean? Because they are taking this world to be true and putting all their efforts in searching happiness in the world itself. How can they get something which is not there at all in the world.

“Poojasthane tirthi dane l Mantra yantra yog havane l Kije tituke fal bhogane l Swargadik sarvatha ll8ll”

Karma – actions done with expectations of fulfillment of certain desires are ‘Sakam Karma’. Worships, Yadhnya, Offerings, pilgrimage, bathing in holy waters etc with fulfillment of certain expectations are such Sakam Karma. You will definitely get their fruits and your desires will get fulfilled making you happy.

“Japtap anushthane l ani nana parichi sadhane l Moksha n pavije Atmadhnyane vachoniya l Sarvatha ll9ll”

Like this whatever dual means are undertaken will accrue some worldly benefits for some time. This will give you temporary happiness. However one thing is so very certain that these things can not take you towards Emancipation. These actions will not save you from the wicked cycle of birth and death. Atmagyan only is the savior

Jap (name recitation), Tap (Penance, Fasting), Offerings, Yog, Yadhnya, Havan etc are all dual means – Karma. These can not take one towards Emancipation. All these Sakam Karma tightly bind one to the cycle of birth and death. All these provide the satisfaction to the mind and gives worldly benefits perishable with time. But the ultimate goal of the human life to attain emancipation is not possible with these means. Emancipation is not possible without Atmagyan.
