“Ydvachanbhyuditam yen vagabhyudyate l Tadev Brahm tvam viddhi nedam yadidamupasate ll4ll”
Shloka is saying,
Speech is unable to tell, unable to describe Brahm. Whatever is expressed through speech is not Brahm. That is not Paramatma. That means Prayers, Mantra recitation, Shloka recitation can not reach out to Paramatma.
Originator Activating speech, due to whom speech is getting enabled that originator is Brahm. Recitation of God’s names, Deity’s names, the words one speaks can not reach out to Paramatma. Speech cannot reach to Paramatma, so speech cannot describe Paramama in words.
Kenopnishad is saying Because of whom speech is functional that is Paramatma.
The one who inspires to speak, enables functioning of speaking is Paramatma.
In this hymn Ved is giving very clear instructions that you should understand that by using speech you can not reach out to Ishwar. You have to reach out to who is empowering speech. Come out of your notions developed through believing in duality. Worships recitations told in the tales of Puranas will never take you near Ishwar. The purpose of such tales are different. You will come out of ego attachment, and Desires for some time enabling you to orient toward Ishwar. So gradually you will turn toward worship of Nondual Paramatma, empowering and inspiring speech.
