Chapter 6

Karan Dehanirasan (7)

“Mana pravarte indriyadware l Bahya vishayi vavare l Te jagruti he khare l Janiseju ll12ll”

Whatever there is in the mind, that it builds up through organs. Mind is always looking into outer subjects. When the desire comes in the mind, to have ice-cream, I change my dress, take out my car, take my family along, and go to a nice ice-cream parlor. All of us sit and enjoy ice-cream together. Then we return. All these activities did by my body who has inspired to get it done? These were inspired by my mind. If the desire to have the ice-cream would not have emerged in my mind, all the activities right from getting ready to go out would not have taken place. Whatever activities getting done by body are driven by mind. First the thought occurs in mind and then body organs act accordingly. And mind always dwell into outer subjects. Because mind finds happiness in those outer subjects. Therefore mind keeps on going from subject to subject in search of happiness and makes body also to tag along and run after the subjects. All this happens in the state of wakefulness. This sign of wakefulness has been told here by the author.

“To abhas gheuni antari l Mana sukshma kalpana kari l Tedhava swapnavastha bari l Mande tethe ll13ll”

When I went for having ice-cream, where some other families were also there. Some ladies, some girls were also there. Out of them one of the girl caught my attention. There was no talk, but the face was noted. After reaching back home, when retired for bed, the face of the girl was not forgotten. Then in the dream state, based on the memory of the face of the girl some weird incidents were framed. Mind kept on imagining various things. What could not be done in wake up state, that the mind got it done by adopting a new body in the dream state. The body of the wake state was defunct. It was not available in the dream state. So mind formulated new body in the dream state to fulfill the imaginations of the mind.

“Pari janiv dohinchi eka l Te apaniya kari nihishekh l Teva sushupti avastha dekha l Adhnyan gadad ll14ll”

There was entirely new world in the dream state. New body, new people, new incidents, everything was new, formulated by mind. In sleep state, there was full adhnyan. Body, mind, Antahkaran everything was defunct. But the onlooker of wake up state, onlooker of dream state was functional in sleep state. The joy of being asleep was known to the onlooker, Jeevatma. Though I was not aware during the state of sleep, but after waking up I knew how peacefully I had slept.
