Review of Chapters 4, 5 & 6 (3)
We have studied six chapters so far. Prior to taking up seventh chapter of Mahakaran Dehanirasan, we will review in brief, fourth, fifth and sixth chapters studied earlier.
Fourth chapter is Sthul Dehanirasan, Fifth chapter is Ling Dehanirasan. Ling means symbol. Ling Deha consists of our subtle body, Antahkaran, mana, buddhi, chitta ahankara, and Vayu regulating the shtul body.
Sixth chapter was Karan Dehanirasan.
What is meant by Nirasan or discarding. Understanding that what We see and experience, is actually not true. Like we see rainbow, but it is not true, it is an illusion. Some times we imagine snake on a piece of rope in dim light, but actually that’s piece of rope only. As the snake is illusion, all these experiences are only illusion. Nirasan means discarding what is not true, what is not real.
These three chapters we will revisit briefly before taking up Mahakaran Dehanirasan.
Fourth chapter is Sthul Dehanirasan. Sthul Deha is formed by Panchamahabhoot visible to us and everyone else. It was seen that the parts of the body, hands – legs etc do not know you. But there is some one different present inside the body, who knows the whole body. That is your Atma. And you are Atma. Example was given that there is fire existing in log of wood. When two logs are rubbed together, fire reveals itself. That fire even though existing in the log is different than the wooden log. Similarly you residing in your body is different than your body. You are not this mortal, perishable, changing body. You are Immortal, Indestructible Atma. In this way the body made up of Panchamahabhoot was discarded, means it’s falsehood was revealed. That body was shown as an illusion. Original Self is the reality which will never vanish, even with umpteen numbers of births with different, different bodies. You are Atma.
