Chapter 9

ABHYASYOG (11)
(Practice for imbibing Eternal Principle)

“Jaise kurme akunchan kele l Kara charan shir antari nele l Maga apaniya apan urale l Akhandit ll19ll”

Tortoise swims happily with its limbs and head outside his shell in any of the water bodies. When it senses any danger he takes all his limbs and head inside the hard shell on his back. Inside the shell then the tortoise only remain. Through this example, Mukundraj Maharaj wants to convey that when you’re dwelling in Swaroop, then nothing else remains. You alone are there. All the time you have only awareness of Self. You are only conscious about your Homogeneous Self.

When tortoise puts its all the organs inside, it takes in the organs which are outside. If we look at ourselves, all our organs are also directed outside to seek everything from there.
If we also turn our senses which are normally outward, to inwards, means if we take out our mind from outward sense organs and concentrate on the inner Akash, then nothing else but ‘I’ alone remains. Then we have the glorious experience of the Ved Mahavakya, “Aham Brahmasmi” (I am Brahm).

“Janiv yachipari l Praveshatam antari l Tethe ekalich ure uri l Apaniyachi ll20ll”

When we stop our thoughts going towards the outward subjects through our sense organs, discard all the outwardly scenes; our mind becomes calm and peaceful. In this state, Dhnyan of our Own Swaroop would emerge. Then we will realise that nothing else exists, only I am there. I alone only exist. I realise that, ‘I am Brahm’.
