If one understands what is being Jeevanmukta he himself becomes jeevanmukta. This is similar to what is said in Shruti, whoever knows Brahm, he himself becomes Brahm. One who knows his Sadguru, he himself becomes Sadguru. Similarly one who knows what is being jeevanmukta, he himself becomes jeevanmukta. Seekers must study Jeevanmukti and understand from within. Bhagwan Shrikrishna has explained very beautifully about Jeevanmukti in Shrimadbhagavatgita. Bhagwan has used the word Sthitpradhnya in place of jeevanmukta. In the second chapter of Shrimadbhagavatgita jeevanmukta has been very beautifully explained from Shloka 55 to 72. Mahagranth Anileshwari also depicts beautifuly along with comments by Bhagwan Shankaracharya.
Many Granths written by Bhagwan Shankaracharya tell about Jeevanmukta, especially Vivek Chudamani. The word Jeevanmukta is very appropriately used by Mukundraj Maharaj.
Sant Dhnyaneshwar Maharaj has also very beautifully described jeevanmukta state in his Dhnyan Granth, Amritanubhav. Very detailed description of jeevanmukta state has been depicted in Granth, Yogavashistha. Ashtavakra gita also tells about Jeevanmukta. Above all Granth Panchadashi by great scholar, Dhnyani Mahatma, Vidyaranya Swami describes the state. Vidyaranya Swami had been in eleventh or twelfth century. One more of his Granth is Jeevanmukti Vivek. Seekers must study this Granth. Like this five six very important references have been given, for knowing and understanding what the jeevanmukta state is.
