THE ENLIGHTENMENT
without darkness, there is no light
Pushed into the darkest phase of his life, Anil was now surrounded by anguish and despair. The miasma of his failure and loss plunged his life into darkness. A
darkness that threatened to extinguish the flicker of light, hope and curiosity had
lit.He was drowning in the ocean of life, almost hitting the deepest seabed. In his
darkest hour, remaining true to the meaning of Guru, the dispeller of darkness,
Khaptinath Maharaj arrived in his life.
Khaptinath Maharaj was a completely opposite person from Taranekar maharaj.
Where Taranekar maharaj had been very soft loving and empathetic, Khapitinath
maharaj was a hard task master. He was quiet straight forward in making His
displeasure known but spoke in riddles when imparting His wisdom.
The very first meet with Khaptinath Maharaj triggered the stilled wheels of mind
of Anil. He had been angered by the harsh opinion of Khaptinath Maharaj on the
concept of God. Though when he gave it a sincere thought he realised the
essence of the first words of wisdom bestowed on him by Khaptinath Maharaj.
Now he pledged allegiance to his Guru again. Such was his dedication in serving
khaptinath Maharaj that he became maharaj’s personal butler at His beck and call.
Khaptinath Maharaj was a true bodh(enlightened ) Guru. Earning Khaptinath
Maharaj’s grace, guidance and blessings , he slowly learnt to happily swim through the harsh currents of life. Impressed with Anil’s dedication in serving Him, Khaptinath Maharaj evetually bestowed enlightenment on Anil, liberating him from every chain of fate. He was declared the self-realised heir (Atmgyani) to the seat of eternal wisdom . Anil had now become Swami Anilji Maharaj. This
however , did not mean the end of all his troubles and miseries. Infact they
increased tenfold. Yet he reveled in the eternal bliss realising the illusory nature
of the world and everything that stems from it.His journey that he started as a seeker had now culminated in being the bestower.
The misery that drowned him became the very reason for him to reach the shore
of eternal happiness. He realised the true purpose of his birth. He was after all
meant to pave the path of eternal bliss for anyone who comes to his door. How
was he to achieve the wisdom to do so had he become successful in any worldly
endeavor of his life? His sharp intellect, vast unrivaled knowledge of Vedas/upanishads and humbly serving his guru like a servant , earned him, his Guru’s love and blessings . These became the key to unlock the eternal truth(Paramatma/atma) hidden within. As an enlightened Atmagyani(self realised) he remains unaffected by actions and consequences, acquiring a constant state of calmness and bliss.
THE ADVAITA PRINCIPLE
The world as we know it works on the principle of duality. It is only natural that
we believe that all biotic and abiotic elements of it are seperate (dvaita) and
true . This belief ensures the smooth functioning of the material world.
Yet, when a human gets curious about the truth of God, he begins to question
this principle of duality. The Advait Philosophy which was propounded by the World Master Shri Adi Shancharaharya in the 9th Century. The philosophy ends all types of duality and brings about the holistic thinking that we are all ONE and the divine that we are searching outside actually resides in us. This is brought about by the teachings of Swami Anilji with absolute clarity and conviction.
