Pranam to Parampoojya Parameshwar Swami Anilji Maharaj
Shatpanchashika Stotra
(Translation of the discourse in Hindi by Parampoojya Swami Anilji Maharaj)
Shrunoti sarvam sannyasya shrutivartam s adarat l Paravyasanini nari jarvartam Yatha adarat ll6ll”
The lady who is in love with someone, listenes to anything related to him with full attention and utmost regard.
Maharaj says, similarly this Devotee of Bhagwan Dattatreya, who has developed detachment towards all the worldly matters, listen to the discussion on Vedant, discussion on Supreme Formless Brahm; with full attention and liking discarding every thing else.
“Kathanchan tyajennyeva viveki shantigehinim l Yatha kamsantapto aviveki kantgehinim ll7ll”
In this verse Saraswati Maharaj is telling the basic difference between the person who has developed Vivek and the person forgetting the Nondual Paramatma; deeply submerged into various superficially attractive names forms.
The person in whose buddhi Vivek (the power to discriminate what is Eternal and what is temporary and takes decisions accordingly) gets developed his aspirations for worldly things distinguishes. He is no more in the rat race of obtaining things for worldly happiness. Now His buddhi doesn’t keep on wavering and is only fixed on Atma. Such a person with his buddhi firmly fixed on Paramatma alone can not be without Peace. He is very calm and Supreme peace becomes his better half like wife.
Where as the person who believes in existence of various things, deeply immersed into looking for happiness through Procreative activities, is always running from Pilar to post looking for opportunities to indulge in such activities. He is always restless with shattered peace.
