SWANUBHAV SUKHAVARNAN (2)
(Joy of Dwelling in Self)

“Swed kampadi uthati l Ashta satvik bhav pragatati l Pave samrajya sampatti l Rank jaisa ll1ll”

While carrying out worship when Devotee is fully into that, there is experience of ashta satvik bhav. For example a devotee is reading Pothi (Depiction of Sadguru in poetic form) of Paramguru Khaptinath Maharaj. After a while he is engrossed to such an extent that nothing else remains in his mind. He gets immersed into Pothi as if he himself is Khaptinath Maharaj.

Ashta satvik bhav emerge in this engrossed state. With such emergence only it can be Realised that Bhakti is from heart.
Ashta satvik bhav are as follows :
Stambha : Body becomes stiff. Spinal column becomes rigid.
Swed : Sweating
Romanch : The hair on hand stand straight
Swarbhed: Voice changes or speechless state. Tongue, mouth experience shivering.
Vaipatu : shivering of the body.
Vaiarna : Skin color becomes dull.
Ashru : Bhavsamdhi during prayer and worship making tears rolling down
Pralaya : So engrossed that one is not aware of what he is doing.
