Pranam to Parampoojya Parameshwar Sadguru Swami Anilji Maharaj
Paramamrut
(English Translation of the Audio series in Marathi by Brahmatmaikyadhnyani Sadguru Swami Anilji Maharaj)
Adhyay 13
Muktirahasya (11)
(Secret of Emancipation)
“Sadhan asadhan khuntale l karane akarane te modale l Apanachi te zale l Parabrahm ll4ll”
Devotees and Seekers undertake various means, sadhana. These they undertake by themselves, or as told by devotee Guru or as told by Dhnyani Sadguru. When Seeker is bestowed upon with Dhnyan then the need of doing any of such things ceases.
Dayanand Saraswati Maharaj and Bhagwan Adi Shankaracharya also says the same thing in 27 th Shloka of
Shatpanchashika Stotra
“Swaroopstitou satyam dukham naiva sukhatmani l Yatha vasyadike tyakte kashtam tvashtari naiva tat ll27ll
To reach to Dhnyan is not a simple thing. Seeker has to undertake study of Shastras (scriptures). He has to serve Sadguru. He has to abide by strict discipline and rules. He has to undertake whatever Penance Sadguru tells to observe and carry out the tasks given by Sadguru. After putting efforts for all these, when Seeker gets bestowed up on with Atmadhnyan by Sadguru, He immediately forgets all the sufferings. He even gives up all the means adopted to reach to Dhnyan like a carpenter abandoning his tools without any remorse or anguish.
Similar illustration has been given by Bhagwan Shankaracharya.
“N hi nadyah parago navam n munchati yatheshte deshagamanam prati swatantrye sati l”
“Never does it happen that The person who crosses the river to reach the desired destination will not leave the boat.”
That means such person will definitely leave the boat when he reaches to the desired destination because now the boat is no longer useful to him. The means (the boat) he had adopted served the purpose. So he will now leave the means. Similarly the person who is now Atmadhnyani (with Blessings of Sadguru) after undertaking studies of Ved and Vedant, he has reached to the destination from where he will proceed towards Emancipation and unification with Paramatma. Now study of Ved is no longer useful to him. There is no point in continuing those studies. There is also no need of meditation or devotion.
After experiencing Paramatma with Dhnyan, there is no need of any kind of means. Dhnyani Mahatma leaves all the means he had adopted so far and remains in blissful state.
Great Saint Dhnyaneshwar Maharaj says the same thing (In Marathi)
“Jaise rasoushadh khare l Apule Kaj karoni pure l Apanahi nure l Taise hotase ll”
(The function of the Medicine is to restore the health of a person. There is no further requirement of the medicine, once the person is recovered from the ailment.
In same way after becoming Atmadhnyani , there is no purpose of the means adopted like Scriptures etc.)
