Chapter 2

Anyamat Khandan (32)
(Rebuttal of duality)

“Ved bolila shrushtikram l To sanduni sakal dharma l Vedantache nijvarm l Lahije Gurumukhe ll17ll”

There is Nasadiya Sukta In Rigved. Nasadiya Sukta tells how was this Universe formed. Upanishad also gives the sequence of the Universe.
In the beginning there was Sat. There was Vibe in Sat that I am alone, let me appear in multiple forms. Instantly there was formation of Hiranyagarbha ( Celestial Garbha). Then there was formation of Akash (Sky). Then Vayu (gas) got formed. Then Agni (fire) got formed. Then Jal (Water), got formed. Then Earth (Prithvi) got formed.
This sequence is told differently at different places.

This is so because for Ved or Upanishad; sequence of formation of nature is not sacrosanct. Many times and at many places it has been explained (by Swamiji) that, Truth relating to Paramatma is told by two methods. One is Anvyay (way of affirmation) and the other is Vyatirek (way of exception). Finally Ved reveals that the Universe visible to us, is never formed. “Neha nanasti kinchan” is Shruti. ( There is no existence of two or more things). Paramguru Khaptinath Maharaj used to say this visible nature or the Universe is an illusion. Whatever is illusion, what importance does it have what comes first and what comes next? That is why Mukundraj Maharaj is saying here that you leave aside, whatever sequence is told in Ved. Seek the Truth latently embedded in Vedant which is much beyond the literal meaning of the word or sentence used there in. This Truth gets revealed from Sadguru speech. Learn that Truth from Sadguru.

When Ved is depicting about Sat – Asat, Indestructible – destructible, and all the things relating Paramatma; but after all that Ved says, “Neti” “Neti”. This is not all, this is not all. Because Paramatma is beyond words. Paramatma can not be described by words. There are no words to describe. There is no Dhnyan which can comprehend Paramatma, because Paramatma Himself is Dhnyan. All the description has been done in indicative, indirect way. Paramatma does not have any adjectives, quantities. Paramatma can only be experienced. This only is possible through Sadguru’s Blessings and Benevolence. No other way is possible to reach out to Paramatma. Words are only giving the guiding principles. Dhnyan to experience Paramatma, to realise Him like Indian gooseberry (Amala) put on the palm can get bestowed upon by Sadguru alone.
