Pranam to Parampoojya Parameshwar Sadguru Swami Anilji Maharaj
Paramamrut
(English Translation of the Audio series in Marathi by Brahmatmaikyadhnyani Sadguru Swami Anilji Maharaj)
Chapter 4
Sthul Dehanirasan (18)
(Discarding gross body)
All changes, decay, degeneration, contortions are associated with the body. Atma has nothing to do with all these. Atma is uninvolved, separate from these bodily activities. Still these are the two parts of us.
This is told by Maharaj in this verse.
“Tu Atma Nirakar l Janasi ya dehacha akar l Jari kashthi agni sachar l Tari vegala ki ll25ll”
Maharaj is telling, You are Atma alone. You are Sachchidanandghan Atma. Eternal, Homogeneous, Dhnyan and Joy. Because you are Dhnyan, you know your body form, actions, intentions, everything. You again see example of wooden log. Whether fire is visible in the log? No. When the logs are rubbed together, when they are burning, then only fire becomes visible. Like that my real I is within my body. My original self is within my body itself. This is being explained bu Maharaj in this verse.
“Taisa tu yasi vyapuni l Asasi ya sthulate bharuni l Romanch adi agra Karuni l Janata tu ll26ll”
The fire in the log is present in every particle of the log. It occupies every particle. You that is Atma is also occupying every particle of the body. You know the up to tip of the hair in your body.
“Pari ha tuj nene l Tuchi asasi janpane l To tu Atma apan l Navhasi narnari ll27ll”
Actually, in reality you are Atma alone. This lifeless body does not know you. Whatever the movement of the body that is done is as intented by you. You move your body as per your wish and knowledge. The differentiation that you have developed based on considering yourself as body, like you are man or woman, youth or old, all that is false. You are Atma alone. You are Omniscient Atma and not the man or woman or child that you take as per the body. Atmayacheni jagepane l Bahya vyapar karane l Indriyadware bhogane l Vishayanche ghade ll28ll”
Atma in your body is continuously awake. Your body is lifeless material. When Jeevatma leaves body it is just a decaying piece of material, which is burnt by the people. All the bodily activities in this external world are being carried out because of Atma. All the body related enjoyments of various subjects like eating tasty foods, visiting beautiful places etc. are getting done because of Atma residing inside.
“Mi amuka namarupacha l Aisa ha abhiman vishvacha l Tu Janata ya sarvancha l Vilakshan Atma ll29ll”
Understand and think over that whatever your notion of yourself being handsome or beautiful having name and fame in the world is merely at knowledge level. All this is false. You are Atma. Very deep, abstruse, impalpable, incomprehensible Atma
Swamiji says this is very important chapter.
In this chapter we learnt that my body has two parts. One is Kshetra and other is Kshetradhnya as told by Bhagwan Shrikrishna in Shrimadbhagavatgita. These are also known as Prakruti and Purush. One is the lifeless body and the other is all knower Atma. Because of whom body is mobile, because of whom enjoyments through sense organs are done, but who is not at all involved in these things; that abstruse Atma. Maharaj says that by discarding the body you reach to your original Self, Homogeneous Dhnyan; that only is real You.
