When thread is untwisted, the twist disappears revealing cotton. When wind subsides the ripples disappear, revealing Homogeneous water. Twist and wind are immaterial. In the Same way once Atmadhnyan gets bestowed up on, then karan Maya, root of emergence of Maya disappears.
What’s karanmaya, we have seen earlier. But let us go through again. We have seen the elements from which body is formed. Body is formed through panchikrut panch mahabhoot. That means all the mahabhootas mixed in certain fixed proportion. Five mahabhootas are Akash (space), Vayu, (Gas), Agni (Fire), Jala (Water), Prithvi (Earth)
The process of mixing of Panchamahabhoot is like process of making cement concrete. Sand, cement, rubble, water are mixed in certain proportion to form concrete and through which the residential buildings are made. In same way all the five mahabhootas are mixed together and form our body with hands, legs etc. This body is visible, visible to us in the mirror, visible to the people, which is used to identify us. This is gross body. Then the other body is our finer, subtle body. In this, there are five sense organs, five work organs, five Antahkaran, five tanmatra – subjects, five types of Vayu – gases. With these twenty five elements our invisible, subtle body gets formed. Gross body and subtle body of twenty five elements.
Karanmaya is the root of Maya, Khaptinath Maharaj used to tell this as the seed of desires. Karan Maya is in the form of a seed. Take an example of a mango seed. If it is broken, nothing much is visible inside. But once we put it in the soil and water it, provide manure, then mango tree will emerge from it. With time it takes the form of a huge tree. This huge tree with branches, leaves, fruits got formed from the mango seed. In that seed this huge tree was existing but was invisible. Once it got soil, water, then with time the tree could be seen.
