Chapter 5
Ling Dehanirasan (21)
(Discarding invisible body)
“Mana pravarte indriyadware l Te vasana abhyantari vivare l Tain swapnavastha mande ba re l Shrut drushta abhas ll22ll”
Organs are needed to fulfill the tendencies, desires of mind. During sleep or dream state the organs of the Gross body are defunct. They can not be moved. Mind then find out the way with the support from Inner desires and forms a new world. These inner desires are based on the memories in the past, may be of today’s, yesterday’s, past week, past year, earlier years, childhood memories, memories of the past lives, etc. Whichever memories are clinging to the mind from the past Innumerable births to today.
Then mind creates a new body in the dream. What happens when a person dies. The Gross inanimate body formed by Panchamahabhoot is burnt and disappears. His Jeevatma, lingdeha remains. They adopt new gross body. There is very little difference in taking new body after death and creating new body in dream state. In dream state we abandon the gross body lying on the bed and create a new body. Through this new body Jeevatma formulates the play based on the desires hidden in the vast stockpile of memories. We see the visions created based on the memories and experience them fully with the all the sense organs created in new body in the dream state.
