Which attachment got formed due to nescience? Attachment of world got formed. Asat world started appearing to be true. The dealings of the world seemed to be real. The biotic and abiotic appeared to be true. Our behavior in the world got governed by the notion of the world being real.
So Bhagwan asks Arjun that after listening to Gita, whether your nescience got destroyed? Whether your attachments with Asat got dissolved?
Arjun answers the question. “Oh Shrikrishna, with Your Blessings my attachment got dissolved. After understanding the falseness of the Asat world, I am no more attached and no more interested in it. And I regained reminiscence.”
Arjun regained reminiscence of his Original Self.
Arjun remembered his Original Self.
Arjun said, “The misconception I created for myself has been removed. I Realised my Self. I myself, am Atma this I Realised. I am all pervading, Indestructible Paramatma. O Bhagwan, all my doubts are dissolved. O Shrikrishna, I will obey you completely.”
Arjun was disciple of Shrikrishna and also was dear friend.
Now let us see, after knowing Shrimadbhagavatgita, whether Arjun abandoned the world? Whether Arjun went in forest? Whether Arjun deviated from doing his duties? Arjun did nothing of the sort. Now all his dealings in the world are being done with the knowledge. Now he has really woken up and doing his work. Ignorant people do everything in the world like a blind man or the person in sleep. Dhnyani also does his work in the world, but he does it with full knowledge. Paramguru Khaptinath Maharaj used to go to the market for buying the necessities. He used celebrate the functions. He used to go for collecting the contributions. He set an example of doing all the worldly deeds, even being Param Dhnyani.
King Janak after begetting Atmadhnyan, reigned the kingdom. But the fear is generally Imbibed in the minds of the people that if your children read Shrimadbhagavatgita, they will turn ascetic. With such notions we deprive children from reaching to this essential Dhnyan. Children then naturally developed aversion towards Dhnyan.
After begetting Dhnyan from Bhagwan Shrikrishna Arjun was ready to do his ordained duty of fighting war. He fought the war and won. Therefore the notion that we are in family life, therefore we should not learn Shrimadbhagavatgita is not correct. On the contrary with knowledge we will be able to attend to everything very wisely. And we will fulfill the goal of our human life. This is what has been depicted in Shrimadbhagavatgita. The same thing has been expressed in this first verse.
The scene of the Asat world is actually an illusion. This is not real. Discarding all these you alone should remain. You Yourself are Dhnyan. It is not said that you abandon family and worldly deeds. None of Scriptures tell this. No Guru will advice to take asceticism till the urge is not from within. The advice is to beget Atmadhnyan. How will you reach to Atmadhnyan. Come out of the scene of Adhnyan seen by you about this world.
