Pranam to Parampoojya Parameshwar Sadguru Swami Anilji Maharaj
PARAMAMRUT
(English Translation of the Audio series in Marathi by Brahmatmaikyadhnyani Sadguru Swami Anilji Maharaj)
Chapter 9
Abhyasyog (1)
(Practice for imbibing Eternal Principle)
In the Ninth chapter Mukundraj Maharaj is telling about Abhyasyog which is meditation. Swamiji says, Meditation is not necessary in our Dhnyan Path at Sugway. Our Dhnyan path is Shravan, Manan and Nididhyasan. For the people whose mind is quite wavery, can not concentrate fully on the studies of Vedant, those seekers can do the meditation for ten fifteen minutes, daily, to train the mind, as told in this chapter of Abhyasyog. This will help in pacifying the mind and bring it to peaceful state.
“Tari he sangitalyapari l Te Swaroop nirdhari l Mag aisach abhyas kari l Nityanemesi ll1ll”
Make mind firm in Swaroop as told in earlier chapters. After discarding Our Gross body, Sukshma body, and Karan body, remaining witness, Mahakaran body is our Original Self, Swaroop. This has been depicted in earlier chapters.
Based on the tellings of Sadguru, make firm conviction about our Own Self. How is my Swaroop. I am not this gross body with the limbs, I am not the sukshma body mind, buddhi, ego. How am I, only as existence; that has to be determined. Contemplate on that and firm up how my Swaroop is. Do this regularly on daily basis. Bhagwan Shankaracharya says this is Atmanusandhan,(intensive search for Atma) in his Scripture, Vivek Chudamani. Atma, Swaroop, Paramatma are same. In the end we have to understand our Atma, there is nothing else other than Atma. This truth has been depicted by our Rishi Muni in our Scriptures. Though we may not understand in the beginning, but regular study will unfold the Truth depicted by Sadguru and Scriptures.
This verse is telling, to firm up the Swaroop, based on whatever told in earlier chapters of rational discarding the bodies and then regularly practice that, dwell only into That.
