Paramamrut
(English Translation of the Audio series in Marathi by Brahmatmaikyadhnyani Sadguru Swami Anilji Maharaj)
Chapter 9
ABHYASYOG (12)
(Practice for imbibing Eternal Principle)
“Apan eki ekala l Duja nahi dekhila l Dhnyanmatra sanchala l Atmaram ll21ll”
During meditation, when all the scenes are discarded, all the thoughts and memories are discarded, when there is absolute concentration, then we will realise the Joy of our Own Self. Other than being in the Joy of Self, nothing else will remain. This is the experience of being Dhnyan alone. Without any organs, without antakaran (mana buddhi ahankara), I am alone there as Dhnyan, that joy of being Atma will be experienced.
In this Adhyay of Abhyasyog, it is told that you sit in the position of asan, concentrate your mind. While concentrating, when you are troubled with the thoughts of outside worldly subjects and memories, discard them with reasoning and rational thinking. Doing so, concentrate only on the inner Akash, Space in Agyachakra. Gradually with continual and persistent practice, you will realise your own Swaroop. Learning given in this Adhyay is, stop the tendency of the thoughts to go outside. Such outwardly thoughts keep on expanding the external universe. Curb such tendencies and turn towards inner Akash. The Seekers of Dhnyan path who study, Upanishad, Shrimadbhagavatgita, Bramh Sutra (to reach to Paramatma), do not need such continual practice of meditation. Only if their mind is cluttered with thoughts then they can do such meditation for some time to curb outward tendencies and gain control over mind. Only essential steps have been depicted in this Adhyay by Mukundraj Maharaj.
